We're looking for a skilled and motivated General Maintenance / Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of all guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and back of house facilities. You'll troubleshoot and repair systems across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and life safety while delivering exceptional service to our guests and colleagues.
Compensation Range: $21 - $28
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform routine and emergency repairs in guestrooms and public spaces
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units, thermostats, motors, and zone valves
  • Complete plumbing repairs including toilets, sinks, tubs, and showers
  • Perform electrical work including switches, sockets, ballasts, and lighting components
  • Maintain and repair doors, locks, safes, and guestroom technology (TVs, phones, iHome units)
  • Conduct preventive maintenance using a Windows based work order system
  • Support fire/life safety systems including smoke detectors and panel monitoring
  • Provide professional, timely communication with guests and internal teams

  • Minimum 3 years of building maintenance experience; hotel experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair practices
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics (preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
  • Professional communication and guest-service mindset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight or elevated spaces
  • Comfortable using ladders, hand tools, and power tools
