Job description

Hotel Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s rooms, common areas, equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests and employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, faucets, toilets, lights, outlets, switches, and other basic equipment.
  • Perform basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.
  • Respond to guest maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and systems.
  • Assist with pool maintenance and water testing as needed.
  • Maintain and organize maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment.
  • Keep maintenance areas clean and organized.
  • Report major equipment problems or safety concerns to management.
  • Assist with emergency maintenance situations when necessary.
  • Follow hotel safety procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous hotel, building, apartment, or general maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify maintenance problems.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Good communication and customer-service skills.
  • Must be dependable and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move maintenance equipment and supplies.
  • Must maintain a professional and respectful attitude with guests and coworkers.
