The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department in the John and Marcia Price College of Engineering is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a part-time clerical/admin office assistant.
This position provides support for the department and assists with the overall administration and development of specific department programs. The preferred applicant will have excellent written and verbal communication abilities, be self-motivated, professional, and have a service-minded mentality to help bring ECE's vision and mission forward.

As a student-focused organization, it is the mission of the John and Marcia Price College of Engineering to prepare students for leadership positions and professional practice in academics, industry, and government; to improve the productivity, health, safety, and enjoyment of human life through leading-edge research; and to stimulate and grow the economy by providing qualified engineering professionals and by transferring the technologies developed in Price College of Engineering research to the private sector.

Responsibilities
1. Greets visitors and communicates with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address complaints.
2. Responds to queries from and coordinates activities with other departments, the community, and program partners.
3. Assists in the creation and distribution of program materials, forms, and general correspondence.
4. Compiles, sorts, and organizes data for entry into a database, distributes program information, and conducts program research. Provides administrative support to several departmental faculty committees.
5. Answers telephones and gives information to callers, takes messages, or transfers calls to appropriate individuals.
6. Other duties as assigned.
7. Problem Solving
Employees in this position are expected to become familiar with the department's policies and procedures and have working knowledge of University and department organizations and procedures in order to answer and assist staff and visitors. Employees are also expected to be proactive in customer service and demonstrate sensitivity to others' needs while being understanding and helpful on the job.
