Job description

You will serve as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in the Command, Control, Communications & Information (C4I) (N6) Directorate of Atlantic Submarine Force Operations Component on the staff of Commander Submarine Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet (COMSUBLANT) of TASK FORCE 82.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience and expert knowledge of telecommunications systems, automated networks, Communications management and Naval Telecommunications command organization and infrastructure.
  • Experience and specialized knowledge of telecommunications management policy, emergent technology and organizational requirements.
  • Experience and expert knowledge of the characteristics, properties, uses and interrelationships of complete, complex communications systems, circuits, and groups of classes or subsystems.
  • Experience and demonstrated technical knowledge of military or commercial telecommunications equipment maintenance and operation techniques and practices.
  • Experience and demonstrated technical knowledge of concepts of communications equipment and system design, capabilities and limitations of standard telecommunication equipment and transmission media.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of contracting procedures to review proposals for technical adequacy and vendor ability to perform, as well as to monitor contractor performance in fulfilling contractual obligations.
