Telecom Engineer - Cisco Webex
Location: Orlando, FL - Fully Remote
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract, 3+ Months
Pay: $43- 48 per hour
We are seeking a Telecom Engineer with strong Cisco/Webex experience for a short-term contract opportunity with a large, established organization in the Orlando area. This role will support an enterprise telecommunications environment with a primary focus on Cisco Webex, number porting, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
This is an onsite position and is ideal for someone who can step into an existing telecom environment, quickly understand the infrastructure, and contribute with minimal ramp-up.
Responsibilities
- Support and troubleshoot a Cisco Webex-based telecommunications environment
- Coordinate and perform telephone number/DID porting activities
- Troubleshoot voice, calling, connectivity, and telecom-related issues
- Assist with Webex configuration and administration as needed
- Work through porting issues and coordinate resolution of telecom-related problems
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration information, and project records
- Work closely with internal IT/telecom resources to support project timelines and day-to-day needs
- Help ensure telecom changes and porting activities are completed accurately and on schedule
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience working with Cisco Webex / Webex Calling
- Experience with telephone number porting / DID porting
- Strong telecom and VoIP troubleshooting skills
- Ability to diagnose and resolve telecommunications issues independently
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Ability to quickly learn an existing environment and contribute with limited ramp-up time
- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Cisco Webex Control Hub
- Enterprise VoIP/Unified Communications environments
- Call routing and telephone provisioning
- SIP/PSTN concepts
- Telecom migrations, rollouts, or large-scale number porting projects
- Experience supporting telecommunications environments with multiple offices or locations
