Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for managing the organization's technology infrastructure and ensuring the secure and efficient operation of all IT systems. This role involves developing and implementing IT policies and procedures, managing technology projects, and providing strategic direction to support the organization's goals. The IT Manager is also tasked with maintaining and upgrading hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

To ensure success as an IT Manager, you should possess strong technical proficiency, be a strategic thinker, excel in project management, and open to performing both hands-on technical work and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years work experience in Information Technology
  • Experience in managing both hardware and software is an asset.

  • Technical Proficiency. Extensive knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and software applications, ensuring efficient and effective management of technology resources.

Job Responsibilities

Hardware Management & Maintenance

  • Ordering new hardware as needed, including new laptops and phones for designated staff.
  • Basic monitoring, repairing, and physical cleaning of hardware
    • Cleaning includes removing dust from hardware, including computers and non-Ricoh printers.
  • Troubleshooting connectivity and configuring switch port and port settings.
  • Identifying, purchasing, and organizing technology and tech accessories, including cables, computers, and parts.
  • Keeping track of all computers and devices and maintaining naming system.
    • Naming system is monitored through Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage and oversee repairs for company LED signage.
  • Adding or removing technology items, including new monitors, setting up new computers, replacing broken computers.
  • Prepare laptops for remote workers

RMS (Retail Management Software) Responsibilities

  • Managing and configuring assigned permissions in RMS
  • Overseeing RMS server and troubleshooting problems when issues arise.
  • Ensuring clients (applications on servers) are connecting to and communicating with HQ. In the event of system issues, this involves identifying the problem and either fixing the issues (typically non-network issues) or contracting out assistance from third parties.

Microsoft Suite Management

  • Overseeing accounts management on Microsoft 365.
  • Fixing company devices that have become non-compliant, including devices that have been off for too long or facing an issue with the company firewall.
  • Managing Microsoft Azure permissions and company security policies, including firewall policies and exceptions (e.g. USBs not being permitted on company devices), as well as monitoring technology sign-in alerts.
  • Coordinating requirements for setting up employees with personal devices on the HAP network.
  • Troubleshooting issues across the Microsoft suite, including One Drive.
  • Managing and updating all group memberships and server scripts, including adding individuals and devices to server scripts.
  • Assisting in syncing Microsoft SharePoint to company computers
  • Adding staff to Teams HAP Policy on Microsoft Azure.

Vusion Digital Tags / Captana Cameras

  • Adding staff to Vusion digital tag manager website and managing assigned permissions.
  • Synching, fixing access points for Vusion tags.

VOIP Systems.Management

  • Ordering VOIP phones through website
  • Creating users and assigning numbers
  • Creating specific groups and extensions and adding users respectively (e.g. HR, Purchasing)
  • Adding users to specific groups (e.g. IT, HR, Purchasing), which has specific extensions
  • Managing call forwarding
  • Setting up holiday and operation hours for phone lines
  • Setting up paging devices (intercom) in stores
  • Device configuration (e.g. speed dial numbers)

General IT Tasks

  • 3rd Party vendor management.
  • Interact with vendors/internal team members both remotely and in-person / on-site.
  • Collaborate with the team to manage expectations, keep them informed and strive for resolution and satisfaction.
  • Work with vendor support on behalf of our team support issues reach a resolve.
  • Complete and close all ITSM tickets and project tasks assigned.
  • Update and contribute content to our internal knowledge base.
  • Perform general system support functions and other cross-functional duties, as assigned.
  • Support team goals to manage inventory ensure required resources are available.

Schedule

  • Full-time (40 hrs/week); Monday to Friday
  • In-office and on-site role
  • Travel required to store locations as needed
  • Availability for overtime and on-call evenings/weekends required as needed.
