Job description

Cape Fox subsidiary, Kwaan Tech, LLC, is seeking a highly organized and motivated Technical Writer to join our team in support of a NAVSEA Naval Shipyard Support Office (NSSO) client. This role requires strong knowledge of technical documentation, configuration management, and Navy shipyard processes, developing process manuals, agreements, and corporate documentation, while providing technical writing and configuration control management, and developing documentation for process improvement initiatives and metrics reporting. This position is contingent upon award.

Incumbents are encouraged to apply. The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position is: $ 95,000-105,000 The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits, including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as a 401K with company match.

Core Duties: Create and publish technical documentations and manuals Collect and interpret technical data or information and coordinates layout for publication Provide technical writing expertise including configuration control management for corporate documentation Develop and maintain Advanced Industrial Management - Next Generation (AIM-NG) Process Manuals Develop Memorandum of Agreements/Understandings (MOA/MOUs), Performance Based Agreements (PBAs), NAVSEA letters, and other agreements/documentation Coordinate internal and external reviews of AIM-NG chapters to gain consensus and approval among the shipyard maintenance community Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Technical Documentation for all task areas Prepare meeting minutes, action plans, notes, and out-brief materials Support development of Technical Reports including metrics packages and data analytics documentation Support ISD team with presentations, SharePoint content, and Teams channel documentation Maintain business process and requirements maps including "As Is" state documentationBachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, or related field At least 3 years of experience with configuration management processes Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and documentation management systems Highly Desired Qualifications (If applicable) Master's Degree in related field At least 8 years of experience in technical documentation 4 - 7 years of experience in technical writing or documentation management Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs Familiarity with Naval Shipyard processes and documentation standards Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC) or similar certification Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 Cape Fox Corporation, its subsidiaries, and affiliates provide equal employment opportunities to all persons and prohibit employment decisions on the basis of race, religion, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, disability, political affiliation, protected veteran status, or sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
