Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating clear and concise documentation that meets the needs of our diverse audience, including engineers, project managers, and end-users.This is a contract position located in Houston, TX.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and edit technical materials, such as Standard Operating Procedures, equipment manuals, appendices, and maintenance instructions.

  • Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to gather the technical information required for documentation.

  • Translate complex engineering concepts into user-friendly instructions for non-technical audiences.

  • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.

  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style and content.

  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature.

  • Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson.

  • Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.

Qualifications

Required experience

  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer in an engineering or technical environment.

  • Strong ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Proficiency in desktop publishing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work.

  • Experience on large scale SAP S4 Hana implementation, preferably in oil and gas sector, preferred.
