Level I Technical Support Specialist (Part-Time)

Pay: $22.00–$28.50 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time (25–29 hours per week)

Position Overview

We're seeking a customer-focused Level I Technical Support Specialist to provide first-level technical support for our customers and employees. In this role, you'll troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, phones, and other technology-related issues for both onsite and remote users.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, printers, phones, and network connectivity issues

• Troubleshoot Windows and macOS computers, Microsoft 365, smartphones, and common business applications

• Diagnose and resolve issues involving routers, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP

• Install and configure user workstations, devices, and software

• Create, document, and update support tickets within the IT ticketing and CRM system

• Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support when necessary

• Deliver outstanding customer service while clearly communicating technical information to non-technical users

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• 1+ year of IT Help Desk or Technical Support experience preferred

• Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365

• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wireless networking

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift Certification (not required)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to work in confined spaces when necessary

• Ability to distinguish colors for networking and wiring tasks
