Job description

Enterprise Electrical is seeking a Technical Proposal Writer to lead and support marketing, proposal development, business development initiatives, and client pursuit activities. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and client-facing marketing materials in response to RFQs, RFPs, ITBs, and other procurement opportunities.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working cross-functionally with executive leadership, operations, estimating, project management, business development, and subject matter experts. This position plays a key role in strengthening Enterprise Electrical's market presence, supporting strategic growth, and delivering high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposal and marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent proposals, qualifications packages, and pursuit activities.
  • Develop proposal schedules, compliance matrices, submission strategies, and content plans.
  • Facilitate proposal kickoff meetings, review sessions, and pursuit debriefs.
  • Write, edit, and develop proposal content, executive summaries, win themes, differentiators, project profiles, resumes, case studies, and capability statements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather technical information and develop clear, compelling, client-focused messaging.
  • Ensure proposal compliance, accuracy, brand consistency, quality, and timely submission.
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns supporting growth, recruitment, branding, and business development objectives.
  • Create and manage content across digital, print, presentation, and proposal platforms.
  • Maintain marketing assets, templates, photography, content libraries, and corporate collateral.
  • Support client engagement, industry events, conferences, sponsorships, and networking activities.
  • Monitor procurement platforms and identify strategic business opportunities.
  • Support capture planning, pursuit strategy, client references, PPQs, and project experience verification.
  • Administer and maintain CRM and opportunity tracking systems.
  • Generate pipeline reports, win/loss analyses, marketing performance reports, and executive dashboards.
  • Analyze pursuit outcomes, market trends, and marketing performance metrics to provide recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain proposal and marketing standards, processes, templates, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Journalism, English, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Construction Management, or a related field required. Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in proposal management, marketing, business development, communications, or a related professional role.
  • Experience managing proposal development activities, including RFPs, RFQs, ITBs, and other client procurement opportunities.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, verbal communication, and content development skills.
  • Experience developing proposals, presentations, qualifications packages, marketing collateral, resumes, project profiles, and client-facing materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, priorities, and cross-functional contributors.
  • Strong attention to detail, document control, quality assurance, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with CRM systems, opportunity tracking databases, and business development reporting tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in construction, electrical contracting, engineering, architecture, professional services, or a related industry.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar design software.
  • Experience with ProjectMark or similar CRM/opportunity tracking systems.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership, operational teams, and client-facing business development activities.
  • Professional certifications in marketing, communications, business development, project management, or proposal management.

Work Environment

This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment with frequent use of computers, office equipment, and virtual collaboration tools. The position requires regular interaction with executive leadership, operations, estimating, project management, business development, clients, subcontractors, and external partners.

Occasional travel may be required for client meetings, project interviews, industry conferences, networking events, company meetings, or project site visits. Additional hours, including early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends, may be required to support proposal submissions, client presentations, marketing campaigns, and other time-sensitive business needs.
