Job description

We are currently focusing our search on candidates based in New York, NY; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; and Washington, D.C.About this Role

This role is responsible for providing senior leadership within our specific sectors supporting a number of accounts. The SVP will report to the EVP of the sector and President at our agency. This role will partner with executive leaders to navigate complex business environments and strategically counsel major clients. This position will provide client and business management counsel, serve as a senior leadership team member to set direction and collaborate effectively across the consumer and technology sector while overseeing a team across multiple offices including specific teams.

Responsibilities
  • In partnership with several other executives to build out corporate capabilities.

  • Accountable for multiple accounts serving as an owner, communications adviser, and strategist to senior executives leveraging expertise in executive communications, storytelling and broadcast to drive story ideas and input to accounts.

  • Continue to own and manage specific teams, driving strategy and overseeing business plan execution and delivery of measurable results.

  • Maintain and expand relationships with critical media and influencers in the Market advising clients on where they need to focus their resources.

  • Drive client management and satisfaction across programs, storytelling programs across channels - paid, earned, owned, and share out point of view on influence.

  • Cultivate relationships with a range of influencers, from media to advocacy groups and develop a strong understanding of the landscape and a unique point of view regarding how clients can best engage these audiences

  • Serve as the Tech lead/expert in new business development that require a presence while continuing to represent specific teams, and bringing a storytelling expertise to multiple teams, clients, and prospects.

  • Creating and sustaining strong collaboration and integration with agency leaders including other technology sector leads and across the market.ย 

  • Overseeing a team across multiple offices that provides high-quality integrated communications services; sustaining the agency's growth by attracting and developing people through coaching, mentoring, and active team leadership. Build/Mentor/Select staff members regarding storytelling and media prowess.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 15+ years of Communications experience required.

  • Minimum of 10-12 years' experience in Technology communications or related area of expertise; with at least 5+ years leading teams preferred.

  • Previous experience with financial models and P&L or budget responsibility.

  • Previous experience working in a highly collaborative, diplomatic, influential and persuasive environment; Ability to be a magnet for clients, partners, employees.

  • Proven ability to attract, inspire, develop and lead other senior leaders. Track record for building lasting teams that are highly skilled and have staying power.ย 

Preferred Qualificationsย 
  • Travel: High travel requirements and ability to be in market frequently, up to 40%

  • Solid organizational and leadership skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Possess exceptional communications skills.

  • Client and business environment, Customer service orientation is a must. Job pressure may exist.

  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week

  • Experience working globally and with colleagues in multiple locations

  • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
