Power Systems Engineering Manager - Material Handling

Our Material Handling Division, spanning Mi-Jack RTG cranes, Broderson industrial cranes, LiftKing forklifts, and Greenfield equipment, is hiring a Power Systems Engineering Manager. This leadership role is responsible for guiding the design and development of engine installation systems, hydraulic systems, and driveline systems across our product portfolio. You'll lead a high-performing team, drive innovation, and ensure performance, reliability, and standardization across product lines through cross-functional collaboration and strategic partnerships.
What You'll Do:
โ€ข Lead and manage a team responsible for power systems design and development across multiple product lines.
โ€ข Drive collaboration across engineering platforms and technical teams to develop integrated solutions.
โ€ข Develop and maintain strategic relationships with engine, hydraulic, and driveline partners.
โ€ข Define and execute power system development and validation strategies with internal experts and suppliers.
โ€ข Coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent, fostering technical growth and team performance.
โ€ข Lead new product introduction efforts, ensuring alignment with quality, timing, and engineering standards.
โ€ข Provide input into engineering processes, resource planning, and project budgets.
โ€ข Oversee the creation, detailing, and release of engineering drawings and CAD models (Autodesk Inventor).
โ€ข Coordinate performance evaluations, staffing plans, and goal-setting for team members.
โ€ข Collaborate globally with cross-functional teams and support international initiatives.
โ€ข Monitor industry trends and adapt team capabilities to support emerging technologies.

What We're Looking For:

โ€ข 10+ years of engineering experience in power systems within heavy equipment industries.
โ€ข 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
Preferred Education & Experience:
โ€ข Master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
โ€ข Experience in material handling, construction, or agricultural equipment industries.
Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based with moderate noise levels and controlled conditions, with occasional collaboration in manufacturing or field environments.
Physical & Travel Demands
โ€ข Occasional lifting and movement of materials up to 30 pounds.
โ€ข Approximately 10% domestic and international travel required.

Compensation/Benefits:
