Salary Range: $95,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

The Marketing Strategy and Insights Lead manages EDCO’s marketing insights function by transforming research, customer insights, competitive intelligence, forecasting, and marketing performance data into clear, actionable recommendations. This role identifies market opportunities, uncovers customer needs, supports product innovation, and provides data-driven decision support to Marketing leadership and executive stakeholders. Final ownership of marketing strategy, priorities, budget, brand direction, and communications execution remains with the Marketing Leader and designated marketing communications roles. This opportunity will establish EDCO’s strategic insights function; the ideal candidate enjoys building programs, creating repeatable research and reporting processes, and defining best practices in a growing organization.

  • Conducting Research
    • Investigate existing and growth markets to determine opportunity and size to aid in discussion for continuing development within existing markets and future growth into new markets
    • Develop an ongoing competitive intelligence program for key competitors to inform Marketing leadership discussions and business planning
    • Establish a repeatable process for monitoring industry trends, emerging technologies, customer needs, and market shifts
  • Voice of Customer
    • Assist in building EDCO’s voice of customer program, including developing interview cadence, guides, and key attendees
    • Analyze qualitative Voice of Customer findings and present recurring themes to the leadership team
  • Marketing Performance
    • Analyze marketing performance data across channels to identify trends, wins, risks, and opportunities, and provide insight-based recommendations to inform channel leadership campaign effectiveness, and Marketing Communications decisions
    • Identify opportunities for performance testing and provide analysis-based recommendations to recommendations approaches that support measurable marketing improvement; execution of campaigns, content, and communications remains with improvement Communications
    • Build and present compelling data stories to Marketing leadership that explain performance trends, customer insights support, prioritization, and recommended areas of focus for decision-making
  • Product Research and Intel
    • Conduct research on product opportunities based on competitive landscape, industry trends, and voice of customer findings to support ideation and prioritization of new product development
    • Provide market research and customer insights to support stage gate decisions throughout product development process
    • Build out and complete regular review and reporting on competitive product landscape in comparison to EDCO’s existing product offering and future planned products
  • Forecasting, Dashboards, and Decision Support
    • Build forecasting models related to sales, revenue, market penetration, and product adoption for existing customers and new growth opportunities
    • Recommend insight-based KPIs and performance measures for consideration by Marketing leadership and associated teams
      • Develop executive dashboards that allow for regular monitoring, performance analysis, discussion, and decision support
      • Identify risks of missing KPIs or growth opportunities and provide insight-based recommendations for Marketing leadership consideration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Research, Data, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years experience in Marketing Research/Data/Analytics, ideally with B2B background
  • Demonstrated ability to transform complex quantitative and qualitative data into executive-level recommendations
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior and executive leadership
  • Comfortable building scalable research, reporting, forecasting, and analytics processes and tools from the ground up
  • Strong voice of customer discussion and relationship building skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect market insights to commercial growth opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders through thoughtful analysis and well-supported recommendations
  • Experience identifying growth and testing opportunities that support market expansion, stronger customer understanding, and continued company growth
  • Strong organizational skills; comfortable juggling multiple deadlines and projects
  • Solid communication skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to build project timelines to meet deadlines
