Job description

Summary:

Jefferies Equity Research is seeking an experienced associate to join the Technology and Information Services team, which covers the intersection of technology, data & analytics, and information services. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Modeling financial statements and conducting fundamental research
  • Writing timely and actionable research reports on public companies
  • Tracking and analyzing industry themes, news, data and trends
  • Maintaining relationships with company and industry contacts
  • Interacting with institutional sales, corporate, and buyside clients
  • Attending industry events (some travel may be required)

Qualifications:

  • Intellectual curiosity, avid reader, and broad-based knowledge spanning multiple industries
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills. Must be able to synthesize, simplify, and present complex information to a wide audience
  • Must have a solid understanding of finance and accounting with the ability to build complex financial models from the ground up (i.e., a modeling test is required)
  • Strong analytical mindset and familiarity with Excel, including ability to work with large data sets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment against tight deadlines
  • Team oriented, collaborative, and highly motivated

Preferred Experience (Not Required):

  • CPA and/or CFA
  • Equity research, investment banking, or private equity with 3+ years of experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $135,000 - $165,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
