Job description

Employment Type: Full-Time

Our client's Small Cap Research, a division of it's Investment Research is seeking candidates to write and maintain research coverage on small cap issuers in the Med-Tech and Generalist spaces.

Reporting to the Director of Research – SCR is looking for Analysts with a track history of fundamental business analysis, financial modeling and standard valuation methodologies. Strong writing skills and an ability to communicate are key attributes for a successful candidate, along with a keen analytical mind.


Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental research and analysis on small cap securities in the Med Tech / Healthcare and or Generalist spaces.

• Produce timely equity research reports / articles and notes for Small Cap Research to the standard expected from an Analyst.

• Stay abreast of trends and news on issuers & sectors and company developments.

• Interact with senior management and attend quarterly calls for issuers.

• Work with our clients Communications team to communicate research views and maintain equity research coverage ongoing.


Qualifications:

• Excellent analytic skills & practice of independent thinking are crucial:

• Demonstrated capacity to identify and evaluate key aspects and crucial fundamental and competitive details of a company before reaching a conclusion.

• Driven to explore circumstances, events, and people as they may compare to how a company fits into the market space as a specific investment opportunity.

• Superior written and oral communication skills, clear, concise expository style, as well as strong interpersonal relations skills are required.

• Managing your own workload and prioritizing your time to ensure timely publication on multiple issuers within in a fast-paced environment.

• 15 years equity markets research experience is expected.

• Candidates must have a depth of knowledge in the fundamental equity research space.

• BA/BS required; Master’s degree in some combination of economics and finance and/or CFA/PhD preferred.
