Position Title: RemoteEquity Research Sales
Salary Range: $85,000-$125,000 / Year, DOE + Commission
Turn your relationships into real earning power. A growing investment banking and financial services firm is seeking an experienced Remote Equity Research Sales professional to expand its institutional client base and monetize a differentiated research and geopolitical intelligence platform. This is a highly entrepreneurial role built for someone who knows the buy side, has established relationships with hedge funds and institutional investors, and knows how to turn those relationships into revenue. The ideal candidate is a proven hunter with a strong institutional network, deep knowledge of equity markets, and the confidence to build business independently while collaborating with an engaged leadership team.
Responsibilities
  • Drive new business by pitching and selling differentiated research and geopolitical intelligence to institutional investors
  • Leverage an established network of hedge funds, CIOs, portfolio managers, and other buy-side relationships to generate revenue
  • Build and expand relationships with multi-strategy hedge funds, long-only funds, and other institutional investment firms
  • Develop a strong pipeline of new opportunities while growing existing client relationships
  • Communicate directly with traders and investment professionals to understand their priorities and position relevant research and intelligence
  • Partner with senior leadership on larger strategic relationships and high-value business development opportunities
  • Represent the firm in select client meetings and industry conversations with limited travel as needed

Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of experience in equity research sales, equity sales trading, or a closely related institutional sales role
  • Established relationships with multi-strategy hedge funds, long-only hedge funds, CIOs, portfolio managers and other buy-side decision-makers
  • Proven ability to originate business, monetize relationships and consistently grow revenue
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong proficiency with Bloomberg and Outlook
  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation and client service skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of longevity, leadership and success in performance-driven environments

Benefits
  • Medical benefits effective on the date of hire
  • 401(k) eligibility beginning on the date of hire with an employer match
  • 15 days of vacation annually & 5 paid sick days annually
  • Significant commission-based earning potential with substantial compensation growth tied directly to performance
  • Flexible work options with the ability to work remotely or from offices in New York or Chicago

If you have the institutional relationships, market credibility and drive to turn a differentiated platform into meaningful revenue, apply today and build the next stage of your career around the network you've worked hard to create.
