Salary: $185,000 - $195,000 per year + annual performance-based bonus

Summary:
Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. seeks a highly talented individual to add significant value to our equity research team. This individual will prepare and execute analyses of specific areas within technology, with a focus on companies across a wide range of areas.
The ideal candidate will have an innovative mindset, relentless intellectual curiosity, a passion for technology innovation and the stock market, and be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements:
College degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Formulate investment recommendations based on fundamental analysis, valuation, and risk assessment of individual companies.
  • Leverage an innovative and financial mindset in writing research reports on companies for distribution to the sales force and institutional clients.
  • Conduct regular meetings with public and private companies to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Build, update, and maintain financial models to inform investment recommendations.
  • Keep up to date on all sector-relevant market news and industry meeting presentations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of equity research and publishing experience at a sell-side investment bank.
  • A deep understanding of the technology and emerging technology sectors
  • Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, FactSet, and CapitalIQ skills
  • Detailed financial modeling and equity valuation experience
  • Series 7, 86, and 87 licensed.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and strong multi-tasking ability
