Position Summary:
As a member of the Corporate Strategy team, the Analyst, Corporate Strategy helps shape Bimbo Bakeries USA's competitive strategy by supporting internal consulting and research initiatives across the enterprise.
This role works across the core BBU business to solve the organization's most critical strategic questions, identifying both organic and inorganic growth opportunities. The Analyst partners closely with Corporate and Business Unit leaders to develop actionable strategies that drive above-market growth, improve profitability, and strengthen long-term competitive advantage.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of enterprise and business-unit strategies that enable leadership to make critical decisions to profitably grow and defend the business.
  • Support refinement of BBU's "where to play" and "how to win" strategic choices.
  • Partner with Corporate Strategy and Business Unit teams to solve complex business problems using a hands-on, hypothesis-driven approach, including: Developing project deliverables and executive-level presentations, leading primary and secondary research and framing findings, insights, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Monitor progress of strategic initiatives by analyzing metrics, dashboards, roadmaps, and financial results; identify key changes versus prior-year performance.
  • Partner with Finance to evaluate the financial impact of strategic decisions and support plans to close performance gaps.
  • Support strategy projects by: Developing deep understanding of product categories, customer segments, and retail channels, analyzing industry structure, go-to-market models, competitive dynamics, and market attractiveness and evaluating emerging and existing competitors and trends.
  • Support national-scale, cross-functional transformational initiatives by: Coordinating workstreams across virtual, cross-functional teams and supporting the design and execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Work History:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Preferred fields: Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or other Technology/Business-related disciplines.
  • 1-2+ years of cumulative experience in an analytical role (e.g., finance, sales, supply chain, M&A, venture, or strategy).
  • Demonstrated experience addressing strategic business issues such as: Economics, Industry structure, Operations strategy, Financial analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools.
  • Experience with syndicated data sources such as Nielsen, Circana, and Spins.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally based on business demand. Travel is typically infrequent.
