JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE
A Vice President of Strategy is responsible for defining, overseeing, and evolving the overarching CRM and engagement strategy across a portfolio of brands/clients, ensuring strategic consistency, rigor, and long-term value creation. This role partners closely with senior client stakeholders and internal leadership to align business objectives, data-driven insights, and customer experience vision. The VP must be adept at translating data and market signals into a clear, compelling strategic narrative that guides teams, influences clients, and impacts enterprise-level decision-making.
He/she serves as a senior strategic authority in CRM, customer acquisition, and ongoing journey orchestration. The ideal candidate is a confident, consultative leader who thrives in ambiguity, brings a strong point of view, and inspires teams to think beyond execution toward transformational impact.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Oversight & Thought Leadership:
Provides executive-level oversight of CRM and engagement strategy for assigned clients, setting the strategic vision, ensuring alignment across workstreams, and elevating the quality and consistency of strategic output across teams.CRM & Customer Journey Leadership: Guides the development of consumer-centric CRM strategies across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention, ensuring data, insights, and analytics are synthesized into an integrated, end-to-end customer story.Client Partnership & Influence: Acts as a trusted senior advisor to clients, using insight-led storytelling to frame challenges, articulate opportunities, and influence long-term strategic direction. Leads high-level strategic discussions, roadmap development, and future-state visioning.Innovation, Growth & Commercial Impact:
Partners with business development and account leadership to drive growth, shaping differentiated, insight-driven solutions and helping clients see beyond individual campaigns to broader ecosystem opportunities.Team Leadership & Enablement:
Provides mentorship and strategic guidance to other strategists, establishing strategic standards, coaching teams on data interpretation and narrative development, and ensuring CRM thinking continues to mature across the organization.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in data-driven consumer marketing, CRM, or customer experience strategy
o Demonstrated experience leading CRM strategy at an enterprise or portfolio level, with experience across multiple industries
o Proven success developing and overseeing complex, multi-channel CRM and engagement strategies
o Strong background in consultative selling, organic account growth, and executive-level client engagement
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree highly preferred
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY
Expert-level understanding of CRM, customer data, analytics, and journey orchestration
Exceptional ability to connect data, insights, and business context into a clear, persuasive strategic narrative for senior audiences
Proven ability to influence without authority and align cross-functional teams around a shared strategic vision

We work a hybrid schedule - 3 days in office and 2 days working from home. Candidates must local to the Dallas-Fort Worth area and willing to be onsite in the Irving office 3 days per week.
