Job description

Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position:

Administrator, Contracts

We are seeking a Contracts Administrator with experience and knowledge in contract management and execution of agreements, to administer variation management, claims, reporting, acceptance and closeout processes for complex contracts associated with EPC, Construction and Construction Management types of contracts for the Company's LNG projects. This individual will participate in a multi-disciplinary team that provides contracts oversight, implementation, and support and, as necessary, assist members of other departments in relation to such matters.


The Contracts Administrator will report to Project Leader and support ALL Project Teams as necessary. This position will be located in Houston, TX.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the Project Teams in administering variation management.
  • Administering all phases of change order requests, including scope, price and schedule definition, contractual amendments drafting, review with Company's subject matter experts and legal counsels, negotiation with strategic contractors, and execution of approved changes, following Company's Guidelines and Procedure.
  • Support the Project Teams in all claims related to defects, serial defects, warranty, and acceptance, amongst others. The Contract Administration will take the lead on drafting official project notifications, coordination with technical and commercial experts, and legal and upper Management signoffs.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and coordinate response for incoming official notices from strategic contractors.
  • Ensuring contracts meet all contractual criteria required for partial and final acceptance and/or completion, by developing internal checklists and being the conduit for obtaining final approvals from Company's upper Management team.
  • Receiving and coordinating countersignature for all completion certificates issued by strategic contractors.
  • Developing and maintaining strategic contract documentation repositories.
  • Lead necessary updates in Company's Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system and obtain required approvals per Company's DOA, as required, in coordination with the Sourcing and Procurement department.
  • Tracking and updating all activities and progress on assigned activities in Company's designated logs.
  • Reviewing, tracking, reporting and coordinating requests related to proof in insurance to be provided by the Company for strategic contracts.
  • Tracking and reporting ALL Performance Security (LOC & Bonds)
  • Attending variation management internal and external meetings, as required.
  • Managing all deliverables under the Contracts from both Company and Contractor side.


Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business or related field is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience with contract / subcontracts.
  • Knowledge of contract agreements, legal and commercial requirements involved in contracts, invoicing and change order processes.
  • Able to effectively communicate across various disciplines and with contract counterparties.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to spot issues and risks and escalate when appropriate.
  • Excellent writing skills, including drafting of contractual documents.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage commercially sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with team members and take direction in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
