Supporting the Partnerships and Funding That Sustain Life-Saving Services. Do you thrive at the intersection of strategy, organization, and public service. At NCT9-1-1, we're seeking a detail-oriented and forward-thinking 9-1-1 Contracts and Funding Administrator to oversee critical contracts and drive innovative funding initiatives that support emergency communications across our region.
If you're passionate about organization, strategy, and supporting public safety through operational excellence, this role is for you. This role is more than administration...it's about building the operational foundation that enables reliable, sustainable 9-1-1 services. You'll manage complex agreements, coordinate compliance efforts, identify strategic funding opportunities, and help position NCT9-1-1 for long-term success in an evolving public safety environment
Why This Role Matters Reliable emergency communications depend not only on technology, but also on strong partnerships, sound agreements, and sustainable funding strategies. The Contracts and Funding Administrator helps ensure the organization can continue delivering mission-critical services through effective contract oversight and proactive funding management. This position drives impact by: Managing the full lifecycle of organizational contracts and agreements.
Supporting compliance, reporting, and accountability for funded programs and initiatives. Identifying and evaluating new funding opportunities that align with strategic priorities. Coordinating across leadership, finance, legal, vendors, and partner agencies to support organizational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Maintain and oversee a centralized contract management system, including renewals, deliverables, reporting requirements, and compliance milestones. Coordinate contract execution, amendments, renewals, and documentation with internal stakeholders and external partners. Research and track federal, state, local, and private-sector funding opportunities.
Evaluate funding opportunities for alignment with organizational goals and operational priorities. Support funding applications by coordinating data collection, documentation, and program input from internal teams. Monitor awarded funding for compliance requirements, reporting deadlines, and performance metrics.
Develop reports and dashboards related to contracts, funding pipelines, compliance indicators, and application outcomes. Serve as a liaison between leadership, program teams, fiscal agents, vendors, and partner agencies. Assist with strategic initiatives, policy updates, organizational projects, audits, and other operational priorities.
Recommend process improvements and innovative funding strategies that support long-term organizational sustainability. Who We're Looking For Someone who combines strong organizational skills with strategic thinking and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate is: A highly organized professional who can manage multiple contracts, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
A strategic thinker who can identify opportunities and proactively manage risk and compliance. A strong communicator who can coordinate effectively with leadership, vendors, agencies, and internal teams. A detail-oriented problem solver who values accountability, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
A professional motivated by public service and supporting the future of emergency communications. Experience coordinating compliance, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration initiatives. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Relevant certifications in project management, grants administration, procurement, or compliance are a plus. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Law, or a related field. 3-5 years of professional experience in contract administration, grants management, funding coordination, or related work.
Valid state-issued driver's license required. Salary Range Starting at $80,000 DOE. NCT9-1-1 presently maintains a 4:1 hybrid work model for eligible positions, with employees working onsite four (4) days per week and remotely one (1) day per week.
