Summary:

In this role, you will provide leadership to manage and execute upon strategies for a customized contract and program portfolio that meets the unique needs of the Excelerate Health Sourcing, LLC Members. Excelerate is a provider-led, physician-engaged change management model jointly owned by Cleveland Clinic, OhioHealth, and Vizient.The Excelerate sourcing team is charged with delivering best-in-class contracting strategies and expertise that allows its members to capitalize on recurring physician/clinical variation and cost reduction opportunities.This sourcing position will contribute to all aspects of Excelerate's Orthopedic/Neuro strategic sourcing processes, including opportunity identification, strategy, contract development, supplier partnerships, negotiations, documentation, and clinical packaging for implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with the Cleveland Clinic staff, Excelerate members, and Vizient stakeholders.
  • Establish and elevate strategic relationships with key suppliers in the Orthopedic/Surgical service lines.
  • In collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic, identify, prioritize, and execute on current and future variation and utilization opportunities.
  • Develop and implement business processes to meet financial goals.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of objectives and goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and leaders to execute on Excelerate's performance goals, business objectives and improve best practices.
  • Provide leadership and consultation in identifying, analyzing, and managing innovative and complex cost savings and clinical variation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 7 or more years' experience required.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven success in complex negotiations required.
  • Experience in health care supply cost management and contracting preferred.
  • Ability to coach and support others through leadership and collaborative partnership skills.
  • Proven ability in operational planning.
  • Experience in developing customized solutions for large complex organizations with suppliers using consultative skills.
  • Ability to excel, lead, and influence in a matrix environment.
  • Strong relationship building and strategic partnering skills.
  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
