What Is a Strategy Associate?
Strategy associates analyze data to help develop and execute a project for a company. These projects may include product launches, marketing campaigns, or financial analysis. As a strategy associate, your responsibilities are to prioritize tasks, streamline processes, and identify and resolve problems within the project. You may also be responsible for providing reports or presentations on your analysis and findings to company stakeholders.
How to Become a Strategy Associate
The qualifications that you need to work as a strategy associate include a degree and skills in business and financial analysis. Some employers prefer candidates with a bachelor’s degree relevant to their field and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA). Other positions may require a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field and the ability to perform financial analysis. You may also consider a math-related degree as long you learn skills such as quantitative and statistical analysis. Obtain an entry-level position in the industry in which you wish to work to gain experience analyzing data and managing projects. Develop a portfolio of successful projects you helped develop and complete. Once you have worked for at least a year, seek strategy associate positions.
