Job description

Dedicated to innovative placemaking, Howard Hughes Communities is the real estate platform of Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HHH) and is recognized for its ongoing commitment to design excellence and to the cultural life of its communities. Building on that foundation, we foster a culture of curiosity that empowers every employee to shape their own story within our organization.

About the Role

The Corporate Strategy team sits at the center of the Company's most consequential decisions, working directly with senior leadership on strategic priorities, capital allocation, investor positioning, and long-term business transformation.

We are looking for an exceptional Associate to join the Corporate Strategy team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, thinks rigorously, and communicates with precision.

You will work directly alongside senior leadership on some of the Company's most complex and consequential strategic initiatives ranging from business model transformation and portfolio analysis to investor presentations and special projects. The ideal candidate has been tested in a demanding environment, built skills worth deploying at scale, and is ready to bring that edge to a team where the stakes are real and the work is anything but routine.

Why this Role

  • This is an ideal role for someone who wants to drive meaningful outcomes across a wide range of impactful initiatives.

  • Work on real, consequential strategy initiatives as opposed to process work or support functions

  • Direct exposure to C-suite and board-level decision-making from day one

  • Opportunity to shape the long-term direction of a nationally recognized real estate platform

  • A lean, high-performing team where your contributions are visible and your growth is accelerated

  • Compensation commensurate with top-tier financial services backgrounds

What You Will Do

  • Own end-to-end financial modeling and quantitative analysis supporting strategic initiatives and investment decisions

  • Build and refine executive-level presentations with board-quality clarity and rigor

  • Conduct deep-dive research on market trends, competitive dynamics, and comparable company analysis

  • Synthesize complex information quickly and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations

  • Support senior leadership in preparing for investor meetings, board sessions, and external engagements

  • Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality

  • Serve as a reliable thought partner on high-priority projects from initial framing through final delivery

About You

  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic record required

  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a comparable analytical discipline

  • Completion of a structured two-year analyst program strongly preferred

  • Real estate or real estate-adjacent experience is a meaningful plus, but not required

  • Exceptional financial modeling skills that are fast, accurate, and build models that tell a story

  • Familiarity with, and eagerness to explore and integrate, emerging technologies (e.g., AI) to drive innovation and continuous learning.

  • Strong written and verbal communication - you can distill complexity into a compelling narrative for a senior audience

  • Outstanding presentation skills - you know how to make a slide deck work, not just look good

  • Relentless work ethic - you understand what it means to stay until the job is done right

  • High attention to detail - you catch things others miss and hold yourself to an uncompromising standard

  • Intellectual curiosity - you push past the surface and ask the harder questions

  • Self-starter mentality - you move fast, take initiative, and do not wait to be told what to do next

Benefits Built for You
At Howard Hughes Communities, we offer competitive, market-based compensation that rewards performance and supports career growth. Our comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees at every stage of their career, is focused on holistic wellness-social, emotional, financial, and physical.

  • Competitive 401k plan

  • Generous PTO policy

  • Premium medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Voluntary benefits for unexpected life events

  • Student loan assistance and stipends to assist with lifelong learning
