JOB SUMMARY: As a Senior Inventory Analyst at LogistiQ, you will lead the analysis, forecasting, and strategic analysis of inventory to support efficient production operations and overall supply chain performance. This role serves as a key liaison between operations, procurement, production, logistics, and finance, ensuring inventory accuracy, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making. You will drive initiatives to reduce inventory costs, improve inventory turns, and ensure material availability to support business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Monitor, analyze, and forecast inventory levels across multiple categories and locations to ensure alignment with demand, production schedules, and budget targets.
• Partner with procurement and production teams to support demand planning, material availability, and inventory optimization, serving as the SIOP coordinator.
• Maintain inventory related master data accuracy in ERP/MRP systems, ensuring consistent material and location records across all systems.
• Develop and manage advanced inventory reporting tools, KPIs, and dashboards to provide insights and support strategic decisions.
• Identify, lead, and implement process improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and working capital reduction.
• Oversee inventory-related system transactions including receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Assist in the annual physical inventory process, including preparation, execution, analysis, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements for inventory management.
• Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• No direct reports but may serve as a subject matter expert and informal leader on inventory-related projects or cross-functional initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS amp; REQUIREMENTS:
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Syteline or similar (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query) and experience with data visualization/reporting tools (e.g. Syteline, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with attention to detail and data integrity.
• In-depth understanding of inventory control principles, forecasting, and supply chain planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, ISO, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Successful completion of 90-day probationary period
EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field required.
• 4–6 years of experience in cost accounting, inventory analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• CPA or CMA Certification is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is pleasant, temperature controlled, professional office environment in a manufacturing setting. The employee works in an office setting but does have frequent interaction with the shop floor. On the shop floor, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed and the air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather.
