Position Title: System/Business Analyst (Non-Technical)
Location: New York, NY (On-site)
Pay Rate: $47.00 per hour
Position Description:
Join a dynamic organization as a System/Business Analyst supporting critical IT finance functions. This contract-to-hire role focuses on enhancing Technology Business Management (TBM) expense transparency across all IT operations, including Product Management, Infrastructure & Operations, and Cybersecurity. You will lead efforts to improve cost visibility, financial accountability, and link IT services to business value. Your expertise will be essential in developing and refining financial models, managing TBM activities, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to drive insights and transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute TBM expense transparency initiatives across IT divisions, ensuring consistent financial practices and accurate cost modeling.
  • Develop, maintain, and refine TBM financial models, including cost allocation and service mapping frameworks.
  • Partner with Service Owners to validate financial inputs and optimize understandings of IT expense drivers.
  • Support and enhance financial reporting dashboards to communicate spend insights effectively.
  • Validate and update allocation methodologies to ensure accurate, transparent cost distribution.
  • Continuously refine data sources, mapping logic, and assumptions for clarity and accuracy in financial reporting.

Top Requirements:
  • Experience in Technology Business Management (TBM), IT financial management, or cost transparency initiatives
  • Strong understanding of IT financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, procurement, and financial analysis
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data modeling, formulas, pivot tables, automation, and scenario analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with TBM tools, cost modeling, and dashboards such as Power BI
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (ITFM, CMDB, workflows)
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft financials or similar ERP systems
