Job Title: Bilingual Spanish Payroll Specialist
Location: Cerritos, CA
Schedule: Full-time, onsite
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Type: Temp to hire
Position Overview
A fast-paced logistics and transportation company in Cerritos is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support high-volume payroll operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, experience with multi-rate payroll, and the ability to manage payroll data accurately in a compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process weekly and/or bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees in a high-volume environment
Review and validate timecards, job codes, and pay classifications for accuracy
Ensure payroll compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws, including overtime and meal periods
Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and deductions
Process garnishments, benefits deductions, and off-cycle payments as needed
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, pay discrepancies, and deductions
Generate payroll reports and support audits as needed
Partner with HR and operations teams to ensure accurate coding of hours and job assignments
Utilize Paycom for payroll processing, reporting, and employee data management

Requirements
2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience
Experience with job codes, multi-rate payroll, or prevailing wage strongly preferred
Experience using Paycom required
Bilingual Spanish required
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Preferred Background
Experience in logistics, transportation, staffing, construction, or other high-volume hourly workforce environments
Experience supporting payroll for field-based or multi-location teams
This is an immediate need with interviews happening quickly. Candidates must be available to work onsite in Cerritos and ready to start as soon as possible.
