We own portfolio of offerings within Engineering, Energy, Chemical and Technology markets covering multiple verticals within the Corporate Segment. We aim to expand and grow our revenue footprint. This role will drive Chemistry portfolio sales in the Americas and provide depth of knowledge in this critical area.

About the Role

The Solution Sales Manager plays a critical role in identifying, shaping, and advancing new commercial opportunities. This role combines outward-facing market engagement with internal strategic alignment - bridging sales, product, marketing, and enablement. The ideal candidate is proactive, innovative, and deeply connected to emerging trends, capable of breaking into new segments, elevating customer conversations, and supporting high-impact deal creation.

  • Attend domain-specific conferences and industry events to build visibility, expand networks, and generate qualified leads.
  • Secure and deliver speaking engagements to establish thought leadership and position the organization as a trusted partner.
  • Connect with new prospects using LinkedIn and other outreach tools, targeting personas and workflows aligned to strategic focus.
Market Insights & Opportunity Intelligence
  • Provide ongoing feedback on market and segment trends, emerging development areas, and customer insights.
  • Identify and articulate new opportunities and high-value use cases for solutions.
  • Deliver actionable intelligence on whitespace, runway, and competitive dynamics to inform go-to-market plans.
Business Development & Deal Activation
  • Identify and shape high-impact deals and strategic partnerships.
  • Break into new markets or business models by validating customer needs and building early traction.
  • Support sales by opening doors, warming prospects, and enhancing value positioning with accounts.
  • Bring new insights into customer conversations to accelerate pipeline creation and deal velocity.
Internal Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Act as a bridge between sales enablement, product, marketing, and sales to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing on business cases, proposal templates, and customer-facing narratives.
  • Provide real-time field feedback to product teams, influencing roadmap priorities.
Requirements
  • Have 3+ years of successful B2B solution sales or business development experience with a proven track record of generating new business opportunities and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Have a degree and experience in relevant industry. (Chemistry highly valued).
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, full-cycle sales processes from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and close.
  • Have a hunter mentality with experience building pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, conferences, referrals, and social selling.
  • Experience selling consultatively to multiple stakeholders and executive decision-makers within enterprise organizations.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics for pipeline management, forecasting, and account planning.
  • AI fluency with the ability to leverage generative AI tools to improve prospecting, research, account engagement, and sales productivity.
  • Able to understand and effectively communicate technical concepts, including software solutions, APIs, integrations, data workflows, and AI-powered technologies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience delivering compelling customer-facing presentations and thought leadership content.
  • Understand business acumen and able to identify emerging market opportunities, customer challenges, and competitive trends to drive revenue growth.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30-50% for customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and business development activities.

Primary Location Base Pay Range: Home based-Ohio $68,600 - $114,100. Total Target Cash Range: $105,500 - $175,500.U.S. National Base Pay Range: $72,200 - $120,200, Total Target Cash Range: $111,000 - $184,800. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. Pay mix between base and variable pay varies based on sales role; please discuss with the recruiter.
