Job description

The Solution Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth through the promotion and sale of BK Technologies' BK ONE solution portfolio. This position focuses on developing strategic customer relationships and delivering consultative solution-based sales across local, state, and federal public safety and government markets.
The Solution Sales Executive serves as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding operational challenges and recommending technology solutions that improve communications, situational awareness, interoperability, and mission effectiveness. This role requires a combination of sales expertise, technical aptitude, and relationship management skills.
Compensation for this role consists of a competitive base salary supplemented by performance-based commissions tied to revenue generation and achievement of sales objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve assigned revenue and growth targets.
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities within assigned territories or market segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with public safety agencies, government organizations, system integrators, dealers, channel partners, and end users.
  • Present and demonstrate BK Technologies solution and product capabilities.
  • Partner with BK Technologies radio sales representatives and account teams to identify, develop, and close solution opportunities that complement radio system sales and expand customer value.
  • Collaborate with radio sales personnel throughout the sales cycle to support customer discovery, solution positioning, proposal development, and successful closure of solution opportunities.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle including prospecting, needs assessment, proposal development, demonstrations, negotiation, and closing.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools and provide accurate forecasting.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, public safety events, and customer meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive offerings, public safety communications technologies, and emerging solution opportunities. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to identify new market opportunities and customer requirements.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas and performance objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology, Communications, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in technology, software, public safety communications, telecommunications, SaaS, or related solution-based sales environments.
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience with consultative or complex solution sales methodologies.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales forecasting tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 50-75% as required.
  • Large territory sales management experience.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling to public safety, government, or first responder organizations.
  • Knowledge of land mobile radio (LMR), P25 systems, interoperability solutions, LTE/5G integrations, software platforms, or mission-critical communications technologies.
  • Experience working with dealer or channel partner ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with integrated communication systems and emerging public safety technologies.

Compensation Structure
This position includes a competitive base salary and commission compensation plan designed to reward achievement of individual and organizational sales objectives. Commission earnings are directly tied to revenue generation, sales performance, and attainment of defined quotas.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
Work typically takes place in a normal office environment requiring: Sitting, walking, lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and seeing
Operating a PC and other office equipment
Travel between floors and office buildings may be required
