Job description

BigFoot Staffing is partnering with a long-standing industrial equipment organization to hire an Inside Sales Representative. This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable company that supports customers through equipment, parts, service, rentals, and technical solutions.

This role is focused on developing additional business with existing customers. While outside sales is often focused on building new relationships, this Inside Sales Representative will work with established accounts to uncover additional needs, identify service or equipment opportunities, and help customers get connected with the right internal resources.

The ideal candidate is comfortable building relationships by phone and email, asking good questions, following up consistently, and working in a technical or industrial environment. This person does not need to be a mechanic or engineer, but they should be comfortable learning equipment-related concepts and discussing customer needs in a professional, solutions-oriented way.

Job Duties:

  • Build relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for additional business
  • Follow up with current accounts regarding service needs, parts needs, equipment support, and related opportunities
  • Ask questions to better understand customer operations, pain points, timelines, and future needs
  • Coordinate with outside sales, service, parts, and technical teams to support customer requests
  • Help route customers to the right solution, resource, or internal contact
  • Maintain accurate customer notes, follow-up tasks, opportunities, and account information in internal systems
  • Prepare or coordinate quotes, order details, and sales-related documentation as needed
  • Track open opportunities and follow up consistently to help move conversations forward
  • Support customer retention by providing responsive, professional communication
  • Learn industry terminology, equipment categories, and common customer needs over time

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of inside sales, customer account support, customer service, sales coordination, or related experience
  • Comfortable developing business through relationship-building, follow-up, and customer conversations
  • Strong communication skills by phone and email
  • Tech savvy and comfortable using CRM systems, email, spreadsheets, and other business software
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a pipeline of follow-up activity
  • Mechanical, industrial, equipment, manufacturing, service, construction, or technical product experience is a plus
  • Ability to learn technical concepts and communicate customer needs to internal teams
  • Professional, curious, and comfortable asking questions to understand what the customer needs
  • Team-oriented approach and willingness to collaborate with sales, service, and parts departments

Compensation, Schedule, and Benefits:

  • $30–$36/hr DOE
  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • Strong medical benefits
  • Standout 401(k) program
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Dental and vision coverage
  • Employee Assistance Program, EAP
