The Opportunity

ALOM is seeking an experienced and strategically focused Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, reporting, and accounting operations across our U.S. locations. This position is critical to supporting the company’s continued growth, enhancing financial systems and controls, and providing meaningful financial insights to operational and executive leadership.

The Controller will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative, hands‑on financial leader who excels in a dynamic, multi‑site environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger management, cost accounting, revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and month‑end close activities
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and standardized financial procedures
  • Support  Financial Planning & Analysis staff with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing salient insights to drive strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, program management and external partners, suppliers and customers to support cost efficiency initiatives and margin improvement
  • Manage annual financial audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors
  • Support ERP system enhancements, reporting improvements, and automation initiatives
  • Support Treasury activities, tax filings, regulatory compliance, and related financial requirements
  • Drive a lean and high-performing finance organization by maximizing team efficiency and effectiveness through targeted talent development, continuous training, process optimization, and strategic resource optimization
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA strongly preferred
  • 8–12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 3–4 years in public accounting and experience in multi-site or manufacturing/supply chain environments with international experience in your career
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks
  • Experience within fast‑growing, technology‑enabled, or supply‑chain/logistics organizations is highly desirable
  • Advance proficiency with Excel and financial modeling, BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Sisense, Tableau, Qlik), and ERP systems, with a track record of leveraging technology to optimize, streamline, and automate accounting and cross-functional processes; UKG experience a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, influence key business decisions, and exhibit solid management skills in leading and developing teams
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with a proactive, detail‑oriented, and result-driven approach
  • Ability to work onsite in Fremont, CA, or Indianapolis, IN.
