The Shared Services Center (SSC) is a department within the Finance & Administration division at Rutgers University-Camden and serves the campus, currently providing support for several business functions of the campus, including procurement and payroll services. Long-term goals for the SSC include the successful incorporation of additional business functions, primarily in the areas of finance, accounting, procurement, facilities and operations management, and human resources into the center to provide expanded and efficient service to the campus, in connection with financial sustainability strategies of the division.
The Assistant Director of the Shared Services Center must be a visionary and strategic leader as they will be responsible for establishing and leading a high-performing Shared Services Center (SSC) within a higher education institution. This role involves transformative change leadership, the development of innovative solutions, and the seamless integration of service delivery across multiple administrative and support functions. The Assistant Director will focus on optimizing resources, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, all while ensuring alignment with the institution's mission and values and serving as an influential agent of change. This position will work collaboratively with academic and administrative units and other stakeholders, both at Rutgers University-Camden and centralized divisions of Rutgers University, to deliver efficient, streamlined services that support the strategic goals of the university.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in a shared services or operational management role, preferably in a higher education or complex organizational setting.
