Role Overview

The Service Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily hygiene service operations while leading a team of technicians delivering services to client sites. This role combines hands-on fieldwork with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high service quality, operational efficiency, and strong customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Train, coach, and support a team of 10+ Hygiene Technicians
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback
  • Support recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and performance management
  • Foster a transparent and high-performance team culture

Operations & Service Delivery

  • Perform hygiene service duties, including:
    • Delivery and collection of sanitary disposal units
    • Cleaning and detailing washroom fixtures (sinks, toilets, urinals)
    • Installation and replenishment of washroom products (soap, air care, etc.)
  • Support Service Managers with service coverage, including emergencies and missed appointments
  • Conduct site inspections and service audits to ensure quality standards

Customer Service

  • Act as a key point of contact for customers on-site
  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service

Administration & Systems

  • Manage team timesheets and support payroll processes
  • Maintain accurate service records using Salesforce and other systems
  • Assist with accounts receivable (A/R) collection efforts
  • Complete administrative duties as required

Strategic & Operational Support

  • Contribute to regional goals, planning, and operational improvements
  • Support Service Managers with field and office coordination
  • Continuously learn and apply new products, tools, and service procedures

Health & Safety

  • Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
  • Promote a safe working environment for all team members

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar systems
  • Experience in field service, operations, or facilities services

Working Conditions

  • Regular travel to client sites required
  • Ability to lift 25–30 lbs
  • May require occasional evening or extended hours
