Position Description

We are looking for a hands-on Delivery Director to lead one ofBridgenext’smost important client engagements within a leading global insurance and wealth/asset management enterprise spanning life insurance, annuities, retirement, and group benefits. Reporting to the SVP of Delivery, this leader will be accountable for the health, execution, and continuous improvement of a complex, multi-business-unit portfolio. The role requires a versatile delivery leader who can move comfortably between executive governance, program execution,financial management, technical discussions, and client relationship management.

The Delivery Director will serve asBridgenext’son-the-ground delivery leader for the account. The primary mandate is to ensure that active programs are well governed, properly staffed, technically sound, financially healthy, and consistentlydeliveringmeasurable outcomes. The individual will work closely with client technology and business leaders, enterprise architects, delivery managers, engineering leads, and Bridgenext practice teams across cloud,dataand analytics, AI/GenAI, Salesforce, and digital engineering. The role also supports organic account growth byidentifyingadjacent needs through strong delivery performance and by helping shape credible, executable solutions.

This role is ideal for a seasoned delivery and technology leader who is equally comfortable reviewing a program plan, challenging an architecture or estimate, resolving a client escalation, coaching delivery leaders, and presenting portfolio health to senior executives. Success requires breadth, judgment, technical curiosity, and the ability tooperateeffectively in a growing mid-sized services organization where leaders are expected to be hands-on.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Portfolio Delivery Leadership
    • Serve as the senior Bridgenext delivery leader for a strategic enterprise account within the insurance and wealth/asset management industry, reporting to the SVP of Delivery
    • Own the overall health of the account portfolio across delivery, quality, client satisfaction, financial performance, staffing, and operational governance
    • Establish practical delivery rhythms, scorecards, executive reporting, and intervention mechanisms across multiple programs and workstreams
    • Partner with delivery managers, program managers, architects, and engineering leads to remove blockers, improve predictability, and drive accountability
  • Program Execution & Commercial Management
    • Own end-to-end delivery accountability across active programs, including scope, plans, dependencies, financials, margin,utilization, staffing, and resourcing decisions
    • Ensure programs are delivered on time, within approved commercial parameters, and to agreed quality and outcome expectations
    • Lead risk, issue, dependency, change-control, prioritization, and escalation management; intervene directly when programs require recovery or executive attention
    • Review estimates, delivery models, statements of work, staffing plans, and milestone assumptions to ensure commitments are realistic and executable
  • Technical & Solution Leadership
    • Maintain sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with enterprise architects, engineering leaders, product owners, and platform teams
    • Guide solution and delivery discussions across cloud modernization, data platforms, AI/GenAI, Salesforce, digital applications, APIs/integration,DevOpsandquality engineering
    • Challenge architecture, non-functional requirements, delivery estimates, environment readiness, release plans, and technical dependencies without acting as the day-to-day solution architect
    • Promote sound engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, secure delivery, data quality, platform governance, and responsible AI controls
  • Client Leadership & Account Stewardship
    • Build trusted working relationships with technology, business, architecture, operations, risk, procurement, and transformation stakeholders
    • Facilitate governance forums, portfolio reviews, transformation planning, and executive escalation discussions with clear, fact-based communication
    • Identifyadjacent client needs through delivery insight and partner with sales and practice leaders to shape technically credible, commercially responsible opportunities

Workplace:Boston, MA preferred (client-facing). Open to candidates based in the Greater Boston Area able to be on site multiple days per week.

Must Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in technology delivery, consulting, digital transformation, or multi-practice program leadership, including significant ownership of client-facing delivery
  • Proventrack recordowning end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-workstream transformation programs, with full accountability for budget, timeline, and quality outcomes
  • At least 5 years in a senior delivery or technology leadership role supporting large enterprise accounts withinfinancial services,insuranceor wealth/asset management — life insurance, annuities, retirement, or group benefits
  • Demonstrated success stabilizing, scaling, and improving complex client portfolios; experience supporting organic account growth through delivery excellence is preferred
  • Working technical depth across several of the following: cloud modernization, Salesforce, enterprisedataand analytics, AI/GenAI platforms, digital applications, software engineering, integration/APIs, DevOps, or quality engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of thefinancial services,insurance and/or wealth/asset management industry — products such as life insurance, annuities, retirement plans, and group benefits; distribution models including captive agents, independent broker-dealers, and financial advisors; regulatory environment (NAIC, state insurance regulation, SEC/FINRA); and policy administration, underwriting, or in-force management systems, as well as investment/fund management platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin orSimCorp
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with experienceoperatingacross client leadership, delivery, architecture, engineering, finance, staffing, and sales functions
  • Ability to review solution approaches, architecture tradeoffs, estimates, delivery plans, release strategies, non-functional requirements, and technical risks with senior practitioners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity, diagnose delivery issues quickly, and drive practical corrective action

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with US-based life insurance, annuity, retirement, or wealth/asset management carriers
  • Understanding of enterprise governance, compliance, security, data privacy, and regulated delivery environments
  • Experience with managed teams, managed capacity, fixed-price, time-and-materials, and product-operating-model engagements
  • Exposure to AI/GenAI delivery, policy administration modernization, enterprise data products, cloud-native engineering, audit/risk platforms, and modernDevSecOpspractices
  • Cloud, Data, or AI/GenAI certifications preferred; insurance or investment industry certifications (e.g., LOMA, FLMI, CLU, CFA) a plus
  • Familiarity with technologies relevant to the account landscape, such as Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Salesforce, GitHub/GitHub Copilot, modern API platforms, and enterprise data integration tools
