Senior SaaS Engineer (ServiceNow)

Location: Tysons, VA or Rockville, MD (Hybrid)

Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior SaaS Engineer on behalf of our client in Tysons, VA or Rockville, MD. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for an experienced ServiceNow professional who excels at designing, developing, and supporting enterprise SaaS solutions. The successful candidate will lead platform enhancements, develop scalable integrations, implement automation and AI-driven capabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain enterprise ServiceNow solutions using platform best practices.

  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and provide architectural guidance.

  • Configure and customize platform components, including business rules, workflows, Flow Designer, UI policies, client scripts, tables, forms, and security roles.

  • Develop and support integrations with enterprise applications using REST APIs, IntegrationHub, and related technologies.

  • Implement AI-powered features and process automation to improve operational efficiency.

  • Design and maintain dashboards, reports, workspaces, service portals, and data visualizations.

  • Perform platform administration activities, including upgrades, patching, instance migrations, and ongoing maintenance.

  • Develop and maintain Automated Test Framework (ATF) scripts and execute regression testing to ensure platform stability.

  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve incidents.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer and user support.

  • Participate in Agile development processes, change management, and continuous platform improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration.

  • Strong experience with ServiceNow IRM/GRC applications.

  • Experience delivering multiple end-to-end enterprise ServiceNow implementations.

  • Hands-on experience building ServiceNow integrations with enterprise applications.

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and working knowledge of REST APIs and integration patterns.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Familiarity with AI concepts and enterprise SaaS platforms.

  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.

  • 11+ years of overall IT or software engineering experience.

  • Hands-on experience developing REST APIs.

  • Experience implementing AI-powered capabilities within enterprise applications.

  • Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms such as compliance, contract management, or document management solutions.

  • Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
