Job description

We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Senior Hospitality Designer with specialized experience in hotel interior design and architecture to join our growing Hospitality Studio.

Job Responsibilities

Design and Technical Drawing.

Utilize extensive Revit expertise to develop accurate and comprehensive technical drawings.

Collaborate with the design team to transform concepts into detailed designs that align with the overall design vision.

Draft, refine, and review technical and engineering drawings, ensuring precision and adherence to design intent.

Lead design and drawing tasks for smaller projects, ensuring a cohesive approach from the Model Room to the Room Roll-out phase.

Fixture and finish review and selection

Partner with the Senior Designer to research and select fixtures, finishes, and materials that integrate seamlessly into the overall design concept

Space Planning & Detailing

Develop preliminary space plans for larger projects and finalize plans for smaller projects.

Work collaboratively with Intermediate Designers to refine space plans and address complex design challenges.

Produce detailed interior design documentation, ensuring clarity and precision in all design aspects.

Furniture, Fixture, and Cost Estimating

Create and deliver comprehensive design and furniture packages for small to medium-sized projects.

Support the development of packages for larger projects by obtaining and refining cost estimates.

Site Verifications and Field Surveys

Provide support during site verifications and field surveys when needed, ensuring that design implementations reflect the approved plans.

Budgeting

Oversee the design budget for assigned projects, ensuring strict adherence to financial guidelines.

Promptly communicate any potential budget variances to the Senior Designer, Project Manager, and/or client.

Education, Work Experience, and Leadership

Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted

Work Experience

8+ years' experience in Hospitality/Hotels interior design projects

Leadership

Works under the leadership of a Senior Designer on projects; may lead the design on smaller projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Design and Technical

Extensive knowledge of design principles and aesthetics

Extensive Knowledge of Hotel design phases and approach

Advanced Hotel space planning skills with a keen eye for furniture layout and functionality.

Good technical understanding and problem-solving ability

Deep understanding of Hotel FF&E and finishes and local requirements.

Advanced sketching, and interior architecture detailing skills.

Familiarity with construction documents (CDs) and standard procedures.

Knowledge of hospitality industry including operational needs, branding and positioning

Understanding of luxury brands and brands standards

Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills

Affinity Program skills or equivalent

Communication
