Job description

Job Summary:
IXL Learning is the country's largest EdTech company, and they are seeking Senior Software Engineers to enhance their successful Rosetta Stone products. The role involves collaborating with teams to build application logic, mentoring teammates, and evaluating new technologies for project implementations.
Responsibilities:
• Work with a team of talented engineers, both starting projects from scratch and also working within the existing code base
• Build the back-end wiring, application logic, and UI for our products
• Provide accurate estimates, evaluate feasibility, and assess new platforms and technologies for project implementations
• Collaborate and communicate clearly across multiple development teams to design and release amazing products
• Mentor teammates, communicate and teach your learnings
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Excellent programming skills (e.g. Ruby/Go or Java)
• Strong communication, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
• Modern best practices in Javascript, HTML, and CSS
• Passion for improving language learning through technology
Preferred:
• Knowledge of AWS, MySQL, MongoDB, GraphQL/Node, React is a plus
