Your opportunity at a glance The WSLCB Information Technology Services Division is announcing an exciting opportunity for an IT Application Development - Senior/Specialist Supervisor position located in Olympia, WA. This position reports to the IT Policy & Planning - Senior Manager in WSLCB's Information Technology Services Division (ITSD). This is a senior Salesforce application, Azure integration and working supervisor position, that specializes in technical application, integration, data development and administration.

This position is responsible for design, development, enhancement, maintenance, and support of an enterprise Salesforce solution that integrates with PaaS, SaaS, and COTS solutions. In this role, you will provide expert level technical services by designing, testing, implementing and maintaining multi- dimensional information systems used to issue licenses to produce, distribute and sell beer, wine, spirits, vapor products, cannabis and tobacco in the State of Washington; collect tax and fees; and tools to support the compliance services including education, audits, investigations, and public records. These systems provide, manage, monitor and assess data required to make informed decisions at enterprise, division and business unit level for large and highly complex development efforts consisting of multiple applications consisting of various coding languages and integrations.

In this role, you will oversee and supervise a new team of 7 employees, that is comprised of data and application developers and administrators within the platform solution team and provide leadership, strategic direction, and mentorship to design, build, and maintain secure Salesforce and Azure solutions. You will establish and enforce functional standards related to application development, system administration, data development and reporting, ensure alignment with project processes established by the agency's Project Management Office (PMO). If you have an interest in growing a new team and working with highly visible systems that have agency-wide (all divisions), statewide, and multi-agency impact, providing integration of WSCLB custom, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and WSLCB Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) solutions and custom configured and coded solutions on Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for internal and cross-enterprise systems, we encourage you to apply to be a part of the WLSCB team.

Establish short-term objectives and long-term application development and support services roadmap; engage staff and colleagues in collaborate development of short and long-term objectives; obtain manager review and approval of long-term technical roadmap; ensure alignment with division's approved technology roadmap

Effectively mentor, train, coach, counsel, and motivate staff to achieve consistently high performance. Ensure that supervised staff have the information, resources, and authority to complete assignments and meet documented expectations. Recognize staff accomplishments that meet division goals.

Consistently analyze staff performance against position requirements, applicable policies as well as section standards and practices imposing corrective or disciplinary action when required. Consistently communicate division and agency decisions and priorities to staff, seeking input and feedback whenever possible. Actively seek input from staff, colleagues and subject matter experts during the analysis of solutions that affect staff roles and responsibilities.

Oversees, develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured application architected designs to assure quality, efficient and secure complex software systems and databases for staff, other agencies, and the public to consume daily, weekly, monthly and yearly work. Oversees, establish short-term objectives and long-term application development and support services roadmap for multiple enterprise level applications; engage staff and colleagues to collaborate in development of short and long-term objectives; obtain manager review and approval of long-term technical roadmap; ensure alignment with division's approved technology roadmap. Effectively mentor, train, coach, counsel, and motivate junior developers, system administrators and other technical staff to achieve consistently high performance.

Develop complex, user intuitive, ADA compliance, and secure web user-interfaces which includes secure architecture design, coding, unit tests, function tests, system tests, and implementation. Oversee the planning, research and write enterprise application architecture and coding standards. Analyze the performance of the development and support activities and documented resolutions.

Identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service to prevent future problems Qualifications Required Qualifications: Experience for required qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment and educational experience. See below for how you may qualify. Seven (7) years of professional information technology experience in applications development, including experience in designing, developing and maintaining applications using industry standard tools and development languages.

OR An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Web Devolvement, or other closely related field AND Five (5) years of professional information technology experience in applications development, including experience in designing, developing and maintaining applications using industry standard tools and development languages. OR A Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Web Devolvement, or other closely related field AND Three (3) years of professional information technology experience in applications development, including experience in designing, developing and maintaining applications using industry standard tools and development languages. Additionally, you should also have the following experience (experience may be gained concurrently): Four (4) years of information technology experience in applications development, including experience in designing, developing and maintaining applications using industry standard tools and development languages.

Four (4) years of experience in standard Software Development Life Cycle while implementing enterprise principles, concepts, practices, and current industry standards as they relate to application development. Four (4) years of experience in integrating and interfacing PaaS, SaaS, and COTS solutions with different business systems. Four (4) years of experience in working in a Microsoft-based environment.

Two (2) years of experience in leading a Salesforce application team on medium to large scale development efforts. Preferred/Desired Qualifications: Experience in Microsoft Azure adoption, governance, and administration. Experience in data governance and principles of data management and the data life cycle.

Experience in collecting and evaluating information for impact analysis and documenting functional and non-functional requirements for RFIs, RFPs, solution design, and maintenance. Experience in Salesforce DX deployment life cycle. Experience in Salesforce product suite and it's customizations as a Salesforce developer and administrator.

Experience working in an environment where IT security best practices, policies, and procedures are required and audited, with having responsibility for enforcing and administering the policies and procedures.
