Job description

Make a Difference While the World Sleeps — Join TERI as an Awake Overnight DSP (SLS)!

As an Awake Overnight Direct Support Professional at TERI, you’ll help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging home environment where adults with special needs can truly thrive. This role is perfect for someone compassionate, dependable, and excited to make a positive difference during the overnight hours.

In this position, you’ll support residents through nighttime routines, maintain a calm and safe home, and ensure they feel comfortable and well-supported going into the morning. TERI’s Supported Living Services program provides long-term, life-enriching support.

 

Your Role & Responsibilities –

  • Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of residents throughout the overnight shift, protecting each individual's rights, dignity, and privacy.
  • Conduct and document hourly bed checks, monitoring residents for safety, physical or emotional distress, and other overnight support needs.
  • Provide direct care and behavioral support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including responding to challenging behaviors using approved BEST techniques.
  • Follow each resident's Individual Service Plan (ISP), Behavior Intervention Plan, and overnight support requirements, including medication administration and health-related support             as needed.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, including bed checks, communication logs, behavior charts, medication records, and incident/illness reports.
  • Support overnight household and program operations through cleaning, laundry, organization, administrative tasks, and participation in required training and team meetings.


Qualifications –

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1+ years of experience working with individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities

Pay –

$20.00 Hourly 


STATUS –

 Full-Time
