You will join our Advanced Manufacturing Team within our Energy Market. 

As our new Construction Manager, you will be part of our Advanced Manufacturing Project Management team based out of Syracuse, NY, but you will be located on specific project assignments throughout the United States and possibly Canada.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Assist in development of plans, schedules, and work alongside other superintendents, supervisors, administrators on project related activities.
  • Actively works with the Senior Construction Manager in the management of the overall project construction scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Responsible for leadership of the on-site project team management for smaller scale projects.
  • Responsible for subcontractor contract management in coordination with the Senior Construction Manager.
  • Assist Senior Construction Manager and Project Management teams with the change order process including proper notification, supporting data gathering/organization development for Project Manager review and processing.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Associate Construction Managers.
  • Participates actively in creating a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite.
  • Serve as Project Site Safety Leader (in absence of full time EHS Supervisor).
  • Estimates cost of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to successfully manage change during a project.
  • Assists in planning the execution of the startup, commissioning, and closeout processes.
  • Adheres to the policies and standards set forth in our quality management practices.

  • At minimum, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 7+years' experience in a construction related field managing industrial engineering and construction projects.
  • Ability to read plans/drawings/specifications and interpret data.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Project Scheduling and Job Costing.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with construction sequencing and planning, construction scheduling/durations, safety planning, means and methods.
  • Travel required (75-100%)

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include being a confident communicator with the ability to manage quality, schedule, and budget for multi-discipline fast paced construction projects.
