MEI's CDL Drivers are part of a rigging crew responsible for driving equipment to customer sites and working with heavy equipment at customer plants and construction sites.
Drivers must be available to work Monday through Sunday as business requires.
• Routinely hauls overweight loads.
• Drives safely and under DOT regulations tractor & trailer rigs to transport equipment and crews to job sites.
• Requires safe handling of loads, securement of loads, loading and unloading of equipment.
• Dismantles and store rigging equipment after use.
• Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment - Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, tractor trailers, telehandlers, aerial boom lifts, etc.
• Basic knowledge of operating equipment (Forklifts, man lifts, mobile platform lifts, etc.)
• Experienced knowledge of load securing and safe hauling practices
• Ability to use tape measure; hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Valid Class A CDL and clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
• Minimum two (2) years driving experience at CDL level with Flatbeds and Vans must have experience with manual transmissions
• Minimum one (1) year of industrial experience or comparable experience within the construction service industry is a plus.
