Journeyman Electrical Superintendent โ€“ Lead Commercial Power and Infrastructure Builds

Job Overview

  • Company: Montgomery Electric, Inc. (MEI)

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $80,000 โ€“ $125,000 per year

  • Location: Denver, CO and surrounding areas

  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time

  • Schedule: 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week (Overtime required on short notice)

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Journeyman License, Valid Driverโ€™s License

The Opportunity You will serve as the elite field leader responsible for the end-to-end execution of sophisticated commercial electrical systems and power distribution. This role empowers you to manage high-stakes installations while mentoring a dedicated crew in a culture that prioritizes technical excellence and "same-team" inspector relations. You will drive project success by ensuring total system functionality and complete customer satisfaction.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Direct the daily layout and installation of electrical components including conduit, wiring, and distribution gear to meet target work counts.

  • Coordinate complex system integrations with all other site trades to ensure seamless project flow and adherence to the master schedule.

  • Execute weekly safety meetings and quality control inspections to maintain a site free of hazards and installation defects.

  • Manage daily planning sheets to ensure manpower and materials are utilized to their full extent on every task.

  • Maintain precision as-built drawings and documentation to ensure flawless final inspections and system commissioning.

  • Resolve technical obstacles independently using expert knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes.

  • Train team members on specialized tasks to elevate the crewโ€™s technical proficiency and career advancement.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Current Denver Journeyman License.

  • Expert-level proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and inspection protocols for commercial electrical systems.

  • Proven conduit bending skills and the ability to work from ladders or lifts up to 50 feet.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial power distribution, lighting controls, and basic fire alarm integration.

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a reliable means of transportation.

    Preferred Qualifications & Experience

    • Experience leading large-scale commercial ground-up projects from rough-in to final trim.

    • Demonstrated ability to solve complex logistical issues before they reach the Project Manager.

    • Experience maintaining "same team" professional relationships with local electrical and fire alarm inspectors.
