Job description

About the Role:
B&G Automated Inc. is looking for a skilled Industrial Controls Electrician to join our team in Fountain Valley, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge automation systems in a dynamic, fast-paced industrial environment. If you're passionate about controls, wiring, and keeping complex systems running at peak performance, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical control systems and automation equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical blueprints
  • Program, configure, and service PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, drives, sensors, and control panels
  • Wire control panels, junction boxes, and field instrumentation per NEC standards
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime in production environments
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on automation projects and system upgrades

Requirements
  • Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician license 
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical or controls work
  •  EMT/Rigid Conduit Layout/Bending (Manual and Electric Benders) 
  • Proficiency with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes and industrial wiring standards
  • Experience with VFDs, servo drives, and motor control circuits
  • Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail in a safety-first environment
  • Must be able to pass a drug test (random) 
  • Overtime Will Be Required (Inc. after-hours service calls, project crunch times, allotted company downtimes) 
  • Some Travel in USA and International required (Normally a few times a year)
