  • Hire, train, and supervise welders and welding technicians; manage certifications and ongoing skills development.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure processes meet design, reliability, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities including process optimization, root-cause analysis, and efficiency improvements.
  • Support customer, regulatory, and internal audits related to special processes and welding operations.

Materials & Equipment Directly Used:
  • Welding systems (e.g., GTAW/TIG, laser welding, EB welding, resistance welding equipment)
  • Weld fixtures, manipulators, and automation systems
  • Weld inspection tools (NDT coordination, visual inspection equipment, destructive test sample prep)
  • Manufacturing software: MES, QMS, digital work instruction tools
  • Standard office and collaboration software

Working Envornment:
  • Aerospace manufacturing environment with exposure to welding operations, fabrication areas, and inspection labs
  • Occasional requirement to work near high-heat processes and heavy equipment
  • Mix of office, shop floor, and outdoor environments

Physical Activities:
  • Periodic lifting of components up to 25 lbs
  • Standing for extended periods during weld trials or process development
  • Use of PPE including welding helmets, gloves, and safety glasses
  • Walking and climbing short stairs in manufacturing areas
