Construction Operations Manager (Asphalt & Concrete โ€“ Bilingual Preferred)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Construction Operations Manager with a background in asphalt and concrete work. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish) and capable of managing office operations while supporting field crews and project managers. This role is vital to ensuring projects run smoothly, documentation is complete, and communication is clear between the office and job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations for an asphalt and concrete construction company.
  • Establish and maintain organized systems for project documentation, reporting, and compliance.
  • Act as the central point of coordination between field crews, project managers, and executive leadership.
  • Support project managers and field crews with administrative tasks.
  • Organize and maintain complete and accurate project documents including contracts, change orders, permits, and closeouts.
  • Track job costs, employee hours, and production logs.
  • Assist with subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and bid documentation.
  • Coordinate materials, rentals, and vendor communications.
  • Process certified payroll, prevailing wage reporting, and labor compliance documentation.
  • Maintain employee records, onboarding documents, and assist with HR functions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements and documentation.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and meeting notes as needed.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in office management in a construction environment (asphalt/concrete preferred).
  • Bilingual: fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written communication).
  • Familiarity with prevailing wage, certified payroll, and public works requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and construction software (QuickBooks, Procore, or similar).
  • Excellent multitasking, organization, and communication skills.
