LEAD CONFIGURTION ANALYST

Responsibilities

The Senior Configuration Analyst provides technical leadership, data oversight, and strategic direction to ensure that product configurations for commercial and military turbine engines fully comply with regulatory, customer, and organizational requirements. This role serves as the senior subject matter expert for the Configuration Management team, overseeing both the inspection validation and the cross-functional data compliance to eliminate quality escapes and optimize throughput in the MRO shop.


Duties

Duties of the Senior Configuration Analyst include the following:

Trains Configuration Analysts to a high level of competence, ensuring uniform compliance with CTS SOP 8.1.2.

Assuring Service Bulletin(s) and Airworthiness Directives status is current per organizational, regulatory and customer requirements.

Oversee the integrity of the Red Border Control Tally (Form QC 016B) system and ensure supporting document packages in the RB Binder are flawlessly sequenced and numbered.

Collaborate with Production Control to include but not limited to Vender Services and Purchasing to ensure parts reserved for engine build are compliant with configuration requirements.

Collaborate with the Engineering Department to ensure configuration applicability.

Collaborate with Customer Service to ensure Customer Requirements for configuration during the maintenance process is per regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with Maintenance personnel and assure parts utilized during the build are compliant to regulatory and customer configuration requirements.

Maintain a current knowledge of regulatory regulations, good practices, and other external standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the Configuration Management process, proactively updating internal SOPs to match changing regulatory and organizational needs.

Interpret and apply customer requirements, federal directives and manufacturer's bulletins and convey information to Production and Quality personnel.

Assist in Work Scope development and revision during the maintenance process to ensure proper configuration requirements.

Maintain Configuration Management internal procedures in a current state with regulatory and Organizational requirements.

Collaborate and communicate with the Quality Assurance Manager on any Non-Conformance issues during the maintenance process and assist with corrective action development.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:


1. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Turbine Engine MRO or component Configuration Control process.

2. The successful candidate must have strong computers skills, working knowledge of MS Office applications and advanced knowledge of MS Excel

3. Demonstrated experience performing Root Cause Corrective Action Analysis and support corrective actions.

4. Ability to work with a wide range of technical, sales, repair, management personnel and business process owners globally.

5. Interpersonal and negotiating skills necessary to build effective working relationships.

6. Acute attention to detail with zero-tolerance for quality escapes; ability to maintain high performance under tight engine delivery schedules.

7. Quantum Experience is a plus

8. FAA Powerplant certification is a plus
