Job description

Job Title: Senior Configuration Analyst

Location: Remote

Rate: $58-62 per hour (Final compensation will be dependent on experience and skillset)

Contract Duration: 6 month contract to hire

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Configuration Analyst is responsible for supporting configuration, change, and release management services within a federal IT/OT environment. In this fully remote position, you will manage the full change lifecycle, ensuring configuration integrity and compliance with audit and regulatory standards. You will play a key role in maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) as the authoritative source for configuration items, regulating the change process, and supporting quality assurance audits. This role requires strong cross-functional coordination to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies. Candidates must have at least four years of relevant experience, a BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, and experience working in a federal IT environment with a Public Trust clearance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Log, track, and maintain all IT/OT changes and associated artifacts throughout the full change lifecycle
  • Produce and maintain change records, configuration records, release notes, approval documentation, and supporting artifacts to ensure transparency, auditability, and compliance
  • Perform complex change analysis, cross-team coordination, release documentation, and reconciliation of configuration data
  • Maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) as the authoritative source for configuration items, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with approved changes across all locations
  • Regulate the change process to ensure only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents
  • Support quality assurance process audits and configuration status accounting
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure configuration management procedures and policies are followed
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 4+ years of experience in configuration, change, or release management
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience maintaining a CMDB in a federal IT environment
  • Have or have previously held a Public Trust clearance
