Job description

The Senior Staff Accountant performs accounting functions in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles. As our Senior Accountant, you will participate in month-end close activities including: preparation of journal entries, analysis of variances in accounts, research and resolve questionable entries, maintain required supporting documentation, prepare various financial reports, participate in the preparation of the annual operating budget and annual financial audits, and external financial reporting including tax filings. The Senior Accountant will work with the Accounting Manager and Controller to coordinate work to meet the ever-changing needs of the department and healthcare system.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in accounting, financial analysis and/or process improvement
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, mainframe G/L experience, a strong understanding of fundamental accounting transaction flows.
  • Excellent customer service
