Lendz Financial is seeking a dynamic and experienced Secondary Markets Manager to oversee key secondary marketing and lock desk functions within our fast-growing mortgage operations. This position is based in our Fort Lauderdale office, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week.

As Secondary Markets Manager, you will manage daily secondary market activities, support pricing and pipeline strategies, and lead a small team of lock desk specialists. This is a hands-on management role that connects senior leadership's strategic direction with day-to-day execution—you'll guide your team, monitor performance, coordinate with investors, and step in to resolve operational issues when needed.

This is an in-office position at our Fort Lauderdale headquarters, with one remote day per week.

What You'll Do:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a the capital markets team, including the lock desk, providing ongoing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Manage daily secondary marketing and lock desk workflows to ensure lock requests, re-pricing, extensions, and cancellations are handled quickly and accurately.
  • Set and monitor team performance metrics (KPIs), ensuring service levels, accuracy, and compliance standards are consistently met.
  • Implement secondary marketing and pricing initiatives established by senior leadership.
  • Partner closely with sales, operations, finance, and senior leadership to resolve escalated issues and support company objectives.
  • Communicate market, pricing, product, and investor updates to the team, ensuring timely and consistent adoption.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on lock desk activity, pipeline performance, service levels, and operational trends.

Pricing & Pipeline Management

  • Monitor daily pricing and make approved adjustments based on market conditions, company margins, investor pricing, and leadership direction.
  • Review pricing exceptions, concessions, re-locks, extensions, and other requests in accordance with company policies and approval guidelines.
  • Monitor the locked-loan pipeline, including lock expirations, pull-through trends, fallout, and other factors affecting loan delivery.
  • Support senior leadership with pipeline analysis, hedging activities, and interest-rate risk management.
  • Perform best-execution analysis to support investor selection and loan allocation decisions.
  • Verify investor pricing, loan-level price adjustments (LLPAs), and other factors affecting loan profitability.
  • Assist with maintaining pricing tools, product eligibility rules, investor overlays, and system configurations.
  • Escalate significant pricing, pipeline, market, or investor concerns to senior leadership.

Investor & Lock Desk Operations

  • Maintain day-to-day relationships with investors and other secondary-market partners.
  • Review investor pricing, programs, guidelines, and delivery requirements, communicating relevant changes to internal teams.
  • Coordinate investor updates, product rollouts, and operational implementation requirements.
  • Work with operations and post-closing teams to resolve loan eligibility, documentation, suspense, and delivery issues.
  • Process and track loan lock requests across retail, correspondent, wholesale, and delegated channels when additional support is needed.
  • Provide accurate pricing scenarios to loan officers and correspondent partners based on product and investor guidelines.
  • Ensure data integrity across the loan origination system (LOS), product and pricing engine, and investor platforms.
  • Confirm the accuracy of investor delivery documentation, including notes, allonges, and assignments.
  • Ensure secondary marketing and lock desk activities comply with company policies, investor requirements, and applicable regulations.

What We're Looking For:

  • 4+ years of experience in secondary marketing, lock desk operations, capital markets, or a related mortgage banking function.
  • 1–2+ years of experience leading or supervising a team preferred.
  • Strong understanding of residential mortgage pricing, lock policies, pipeline management, best execution, and investor guidelines.
  • Experience supporting secondary-market activities across multiple lending channels.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret pricing, pipeline, and market information.
  • A hands-on manager who can balance team leadership with day-to-day operational responsibilities.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to recognize when issues require escalation to senior leadership.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with loan origination systems, product and pricing engines, or hedging platforms is a plus.
