The Second Chance Program focuses on helping individuals reintegrate into society through support and rehabilitation, often with less formal credentials. Probation Officers, on the other hand, are trained criminal justice professionals responsible for supervising offenders. CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES CASEWORKER
EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma Required. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or in a child related or social services field preferred
EXPERIENCEOne year experience working directly with children in a child-related field with degree;
OR
Five years’ experience working directly with children in a child-related field with some college;
OR
Seven to ten years’ experience working directly with children in a child-related field.
