Job description

Company Overview

Dean Garland is developing the leading AI-powered technology and marketing platform that delivers customer acquisition and retention at scale for high-value businesses.

We thrive on collaboration, embrace continuous learning, and actively explore emerging technologies, particularly in AI, to remain at the forefront of the digital marketing landscape.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a highly capable SEO specialist who understands how search visibility now extends beyond rankings and into AI-driven discovery. You should have a strong foundation in technical SEO and link building, combined with the ability to plan and scale content production that builds authority and drives visibility across Google, Google AI Overviews, and emerging answer engines like ChatGPT search integrations.

You think in terms of entities, clusters, and long-term authority - not just keywords - and you know how to structure, optimize, and monitor content to perform in an environment that blends search, generative AI, and user intent.

Job Description

As an SEO specialist at Dean Garland, you will own the strategy and execution for client visibility across search and AI-driven ecosystems. This includes technical optimization, link acquisition, local SEO, and content planning. You will use data to identify opportunities, guide writers and editors on what to produce, and ensure every piece of content supports organic growth and authority.

Requirements

  • Research and plan keyword clusters that inform both SEO and AI search visibility strategies
  • Audit and improve site architecture, speed, and schema implementation
  • Oversee large-scale content planning including outlines, briefs, and optimization frameworks
  • Coordinate with writers and editors to ensure content is structured for performance and topical authority
  • Manage link building campaigns that prioritize quality, relevance, and domain diversity
  • Lead local SEO efforts including Google Business Profile optimization and citation management
  • Monitor and report on rankings, traffic, and AI visibility using Semrush, Search Console, and AgencyAnalytics
  • Track and interpret visibility across Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT results, and other emerging AI discovery tools
  • Stay informed on algorithm updates, entity optimization, and the evolving relationship between SEO and generative AI

Benefits

Compensation: Salary-based rate, commensurate with experience.

How to Apply: Please submit your resume, a brief introduction describing your SEO and content experience, and examples of campaigns or projects that demonstrate measurable ranking or traffic growth.

This is a full-time, in-office position.
